Winter 2017/2018
It’s time for my latest update before the start of a new season.
After my return home on Bonaire in december I fully focused on my training in the gym with coach Alison Maria from the Voyage of Succes Fitnesscorner. The wind conditions were light and could train foiling and slalom.
It was great to be among my family and friends again, but december past in a blast and on January 10th it was time to travel to South Africa.
This year I planned my trip together with Gollito Estredo, Sarah Quita and also 2 good friends came to visit Cape Town.

Besides training Freestyle and Waves as much as possible we did some sightseeing.
5 weeks Cape Town and from sunny weather into the snow. It had been 12 years since I last went snowboarding and although it was cold , it was big fun to be on a board on frozen water. With my sporty grandma , Pito and Marvo we had a blast .
Back on Bonaire, a super-flu hit me. I passed out on the 2nd day back home and was hospitalized for 24hours for observation.
Taking a week of rest I was fully recovered and at that time the wind picked up on our island and it was training, foiling, freestyle, slalom and wave every, and all day long.

For a change we had some good sessions in the Kralendijk Bay and Kuma came with us on Kiri’s boat to shoot some good footage of the action.

Bonaire has it all. Flat and choppy conditions , but also waves at Lac Cai. A special thanks to Mr. and Mrs Kuma for chasing us wherever we went sailing.
With the new season starting on April 2nd with my flight to Amsterdam, repacking and prepare my van for the season, my first trip will be to Maui for the annual JP-Australia photoshoot.
Check the event-calendar in the header of my website for my schedule in the upcoming 7 months. A lot of traveling, new experiences, clinics and events. I’m ready !!
After each event I will update you again with a blog.
Daily updates you’ll find on my facebook- and instagram-account. See bottom of this page.
Thanks for checking in and your support.
