Although on Bonaire we have the perfect trainingspots at Sorobon, Lac Bai and the Red Slaves, I decided to travel to new destinations this winter. New destinations, means new experiences and meeting new friends with the same passion.
The end of a great season !!
In November 2015 when the official competition-season ended for me in Six Four les Plage, France and I could win the European Freestyle title, I travelled to Brasil for the first time.
Home , sweet home on wheels !!
Via the Netherlands, where I left my home on wheels to rest after being reliable for the 15000 km I travelled during the summer, I flew via Lisbon to Fortaleza. Together with my friends Hugo de Souza, Jazzy Zwerus and Loick Spicher we arrived in Jericoacoara at WindJeri Pousada.
We had a great time, not only in Jericoacoara but also in Camocin and Maceio. Hugo who lives there showed us all the perfect freestyle spots and it was action every day for 3 weeks. Enjoy the pictures !!
Action around the clock in Brasil !!

After 6 months, enjoying Sorobon again !!
Stoked to be a part of the Brunotti-team !!
Action at Lac-Bai
Normally december is not that windy on Bonaire but this year the wind treated us very well. Action and training continued into the New Year.
January 2nd it was time to board the plane again with the final destination on the other end of the world. Bonaire, via Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi on to Perth was the longest trip I’ve ever flown. But it was worth it. Dieter van der Eyken who already was in Western Australia from the beginning of December picked me up and we started our adventure along the beautiful Ozzy coastlines. 4 weeks, 3700 kilometers and lot’s of fun and newexperiences.
Thanks Dieter for the great time in WA. !!
Action in Esperance
From Esperance in the South, all the way up to Geraldton. Where the wind was we were.
I turned (NB-) 20 years old on January 23rd !!
Award by World of Windsurf ( nice Birthday-present )
Totally surprised to see Mr and Mrs KUMA MOVIE on the other side of the world !!
Although it was one of the badest wind-season people told me I had a good time. Seen no sharks but lots of Kangaroos. We worked hard to test and design new sails for Severne Sails and it was great to see how our Freestylesails are made.
Action in Geralton
Kangaroos and Koala’s
The Wave-rock in Hayden, WA.

On February 8th I returned to Bonaire again to continue training, not only on the water but also in the gym to be fully prepared for the upcoming season. A season with lot’s of wellknown events, but also new ones in new places. It will be a very active season again and I really hope the wind will know where to show up in time to have some good and challenging competition in 2016.
Awarded with the title ” Sportsman of the Year 2015 ” and “Talent of the year 2015 ” on Bonaire !!
