Waves on Gran Canaria

Last minute to Pozo

Also worth to mention on my website is the short trip with Severne- and Brunotti-teammate Dieter van der Eijken. After returning from Costa Brava the wind-forcast did not look promising in The Netherlands and to avoid getting annoyed we looked at a last minute trip to Pozo Gran Canaria.

After a great afternoon freestyling in Oostvoorne at the Brunotti Beach club we decided to book some cheap tickets and have some fun on windy Gran Canaria.

June 2nd – June 6th

What a blast. With winds up to 40 knots we had some SUPER 4 days in Pozo Izquierdo.

2 sessions a day. It was eat sleep and windsurf.

Here a simple and short edit of some great action !!

Thanks Dieter for the great idea. As you wrote : It was not hard to convince me to take this trip. I for sure will get more into the waves in the future. Besides Freestyle it is BIG FUN !!

Once back in The Netherlands a summer storm passed and the day after it were perfect wave-sailing conditions in Scheveningen. No time wasted and back on the board.

Happy with the unexpected active days and …on to the next challenge !!

40st Edition of the “Ronde om Texel”, a 100-120km race around the Dutch island of Texel. Catamarans and windsurfers will all sail together.

Thanks for checking in and find the day to day updates on my Facebook-page and or Instagram (see below)
